Project Walkabout: Jefferson Barracks County Park
Yesterday was a busy day for me. I decided I needed to make a little bit of an update to my wardrobe and bought about 9 maxi skirts in various colors. Of course I put some serious milage on my car criss crossing all over the place and would you believe that during my travels for one particular maxi skirt at Body Central, I had to go all the way out to South County mall. I also would like to take time out to thank the person or group of people who came up with the creation of spandex in clothing;) Especially for skirts;)

Walking Project: Tower Grove Park
Yesterday morning I decided I needed to get back into my Walking Project. So I after much thought I decided I was going to tackle Tower Grove Park. I driven past it from time to time. I didn't realize that it was so close to the Missouri Botanical Garden, which I had walked last year. So I decided to park in the Circle drive area in the center of the park so I could find my car easily.

Naughty or Nice Inaugural Run 2012
This past weekend I participated in my first race, it was called the Naughty or Nice race. The Naughty is a
four-mile loop featuring the Mile High Hill. The Nice is a two-mile
riverwalk along our bicycle trail. Start and finish at the Big Kahuna
located at Grafton Harbor. I participated in the Nice version so I enjoyed a NICE brisk walk.
I was informed about this race from my boss and I thought it would be fun to get some friends involved. So I put up an Event pages on Facebook and Google+. In the end it was just myself, my boss and some of her friends. I woke up early Sunday morning to get dressed and printed out a map to my destination in Grafton, Illinois.

STL Lose to Win Fall 2012 Challenge: Week 10
Ok so by this time you should know the drill by now. This morning I went to my weekly weigh in location and I went up .5 pounds. Now you think I would be upset but honestly I'm not. I still have not gotten back into my regular swing of things as far as exercising,, even though I did go a few days last week and my eating still is not back on track. So to know I haven't gained a whole pound but just half is rather shocking. Now that Thanksgiving is coming up I'm just trying to setup a game plan so I don't go all out crazy when THAT day hits.

#30WriteNow STL Lose to Win Fall 2012 Challenge: Week 5

This is how I'm feeling right about now |
Today after work I decided to go weigh-in instead of tomorrow morning. I was bit anxious to see if I had made any progress on the scale. When I made it to my Curves destination I went in and waited my turn to get on the scale. I got on and looked away from the digital reader (which is what I normally do). The lady that was assisting, informed me that I was still the same. Still the same for almost 4 weeks. I won't lie, hearing that really has taken the motivation out of me.

#30WriteNow STL Lose to Win Fall 2012 Challenge: Week 4
*So I decided to deviate from my personal goal today about using the word-prompts to write my #30WriteNowWriting Challenge blog posts and just count this post towards the challenge*
As you can tell by the picture above, I wasn't too pleased with my weigh-in this morning. I went to my designated weigh-in location and I went down 1 pound. So I've decided today I need to start a Food Log to see what is going on. I'm wondering if I might be working out too much as well as still not getting in enough calories and wonder if my body is going into a protective mode. I still enjoy my NutriBullet and make my drinks in the morning yet I'm wondering if I need to add more to my breakfast.

STL Lose to Win Fall 2012 Challenge: Week 3
So this morning I went to my designated area to weigh-in since I was going to a party after work and would not be able to go weigh in afterwards. For the most part I've been doing pretty well with my working out habits. I went to Queeny Park this past Sunday to do my long distance walking. Let me start off by saying this was the TOUGHEST park I have ever walked. This park also doubles as an Equestrian park and when you seeing all the hills that I had to walk up and down, you kind of get an understanding why it might be a long while before I tackle that park again.

Getting my Mojo back: Walking Project
I've decided as a project that I am going to TRY (huge emphasis on that word,) to walk as many of the different Saint Louis County Parks to add to my health regimen. It will give me a chance to see different scenery and will help with me not being bored.
So I decided to do some research on my goal and came across the Saint Louis County Parks website. This site is WONDERFUL! It gives a break down of all the different parks in Saint Louis County and they even have a trail page so I can see ahead of time where I might want to walk and lets me know how many miles I'm dealing with.
