Well this evening around 5pm I arrived at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore at West County Mall for a book signing. I heard about this guy from a former Wellston School District co-worker back in 2010. At the time my coworker was going through Charles's weight loss plan and told me about how he is well known (from Saint Louis, MO) and had made such a difference in so many lives and his website was definitely a testament to it.

I don't know why, but for some reason he popped back into my head last year and around that time I found out he was coming out with the book that is mentioned in the main picture. The book came out this January and I actually bought it that week.  Throughout this year I was so busy I didn't make the time to pick up the book until this May. I was slowly reading it and I tell ya Charles's story is something to behold. I'm still in the early stages of the book and I'm determined to read it this month.

At the book signing which started promptly at 5pm there was a young man who did the introduction and told his story about his weight loss and how Charles helped change his life. Afterwards Charles came on and I tell ya I was glued to what this man had to say.

What I find so fascinating about him is that through his transformation mentally and physically he has used that as a platform to help others realize the potential in themselves. Below is one of his clients, you might recognize him.

Charles with President Bill Clinton

He has helped hundreds, heck maybe thousands of people lose weight and keep it off. His message was you have to have a plan in place, accountability,  and be consistent.  He spoke for about 35 minutes and I was soaking it all up. Afterwards he signed copies of his book and you know I had to bring mine. I told him about my story. How I had lost 50 pounds, gained 65. Now I'm back on my journey trying to be more focus. I told him I weighed myself and found I was 10 pounds down from my last weigh in a month ago. I told him how I was boxing and kickboxing for cardio. He told me that I could contact him with any questions and he even recalled me from facebook yesterday when I made a post stating I was coming to his book signing.

This man has definitely added fuel to my fire. Check out his book, hopefully it will add fuel to yours.

Until the next episode....
