A Photograph can be worth a thousand memories, but to understand how to get that perfect shot, is priceless

Repost from my Google+ page:

I love taking photographs, but I really want to learn about photography. To me there is difference. I enjoy taking photos, but I REALLY want to know how to control what type of photo that I want to take. Anybody can turn on a camera and set it to Automatic mode. I want to learn how to step out of my comfort zone. I've enjoyed taking pictures since I can remember, heck I think since I was in elementary school. My mom has this K1000 Pentax 35mm camera and it still has FILM that has not been used. I used to play around with it taking pictures, but unfortunately they never turned out properly.

I wish I could find a place that still taught the old way of developing film. Yet I do have a more modernized camera but it's not a DSLR, it's a Sony DSC-H9. I've had that camera for a long time and decided I really wanted to step up and get a DSLR so I can learn about pictures and possibly video.

So I've been setting my sights on a Canon 70D. I know trial and error are some ways to learn about something but I like to have an option  of a guiding hand especially when embarking on new territory.

I just want to take pictures. I love taking pictures.

Until the next episode....
